The Uchiha Massacre

Hey Everyone its your boy Luka and this time on Luka_Anime_insights I'll be reviewing the Uchiha Massacre.

I'll talk about what lead to the annihilation of the Uchiha, if the Uchiha slaughter could have been avoided, and also what would've happened if either the Uchiha or the hidden leaf had won.

So firstly I'll talk about

What lead to the Uchiha Massacre?.

When the masked man infiltrated the hidden leaf village in the night Naruto was given birth to he unsealed the Ninetails from Kushina Uzumaki the mother of Naruto due to fact that the seal would be weakened during child birth. And the ninetails did heavy damage to the village

During his fight with Minato, Minato Stated that he(the masked man) was able to enter the hidden leaf without triggering the barrier and also control the ninetails and he came to the conclusion that this "masked man" is Madara Uchiha. Afterall the Uchihas were able to control tailed beasts with their visual prowess.

So after the death of the fourth Hokage Minato and his wife Kushina a time came were speculations were made that the Uchihas were the once behind the attack on the hidden leaf and after this the Uchiha Clan also became more isolated. Those two things then lead to an uproar within the Uchiha clan. The members of the Uchiha clan were angry about the situation and were pushing for a coup d'etat even though the leader Fugaku was doing his best to avoid there being a coup.

During this incident two Uchihas, Itachi and Shisui who didn't want for there to be a coup and a civil war were doing their best with the hidden leaf leaders to avoid a coup. And Shisui the older one among these two Uchihas said that  he'll use his sharingan to cast a genjutsu (the kotoamatsukami) on the Uchiha and destroy any interest on a coup d'etat. All the village leaders except Danzo were ok with this plan of Shisui. So when the time came for Shisui to execute his plan, his eye was stolen by Danzo and his plan to end the coup with his genjutsu came to an abrupt end. And so  Shisui came to a conclusion to take his life and he handed his left eye to Itachi for save keeping.

Then after a short while Danzo called Itachi and gave him 2 suggestions,
1. Join the coup d'etat and die with your fellow Uchiha brethren including your younger brother

Or
2. Murder the Uchiha clan and spare your little brother.

Itachi went with the second option to spare his younger brother's life and slaughter his clan.

So one unfortunate night Itachi uchiha murdered the Uchiha clan but he didn't do it alone, he had an accomplice, the "masked man". After slaughtering his fellow brethren he made sasuke hate him and seek revenge on him by telling him he was too weak and in order to pay for his sin he planned for his death by Sasuke as revenge for what he(Itachi) did to the Uchiha  clan.
Itachi didn't want Sasuke to be killed from the coup if the Uchiha had lost and ended up making sasuke hating him and having great lust for revenge but he didn't doubt the fact that Sasuke even though he won't lead a normal life like other kids he will at some point in his life  would have other drive than revenge and if Sasuke did kill him he would have great satisfaction knowing he has done a great deed.

Now could the Massacre have been avoided??..

Well yeah I'm sure it could have been avoided 💁‍♂️

1. Couldn't Itachi have used the kotoamatsukami on the Uchiha with Shisui's left eye??
Ok maybe he came to a conclusion that even if they were under a genjutsu there'll still be a coup in the distant future prolly from their descendants and decided to slaughter the clan and have sasuke rebuild the Uchiha Clan from scratch.

2.What if he placed the hidden leaf under the kotoamatsukami........... lol like wtf?🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️.

3.What if he had sided with the Uchihas and fought the hidden leaf would they have won??. Lol I think they would I mean his father could've released the ninetails from Naruto with one look.

Well I gave 3 reasons how the Massacre could've been avoided but this doesn't align with the Naruto storyline.


Now for the final question

What would've happened if either the Uchiha or hidden leaf won

Well the answer is the hidden leaf's sudden destruction

I mean if either side had won the village would be vulnerable other villages would attack to increase their military power and secure resources since the leaf military strength would be less than 50%.

After thinking about the Uchiha Massacre I realised there was a flaw in Itachi's reasoning.
He wasn't 100% sure that Sasuke will live how he wanted and in reality sasuke didn't, he left the leaf, joined orochimaru, joined the akatsuki(though temporarily), became a rogue ninja, killed Danzo ( I was ok with the Danzo part though) sworn to destroy the village that  tried so hard to protect. So yeah the "Sasuke would live like this" reality was just bullshit 🤷‍♂️ to be honest.

And there's something else to this whole Uchiha Massacre thing. This will be on the storyline of the anime. The Uchihas were pretty confident on the coup but yet they were taking out in one night, I mean they were the well known Uchiha clan of course there had to be some high level Uchiha shinobis so how did two shinobis kill them all ?. Were the Uchihas weak or Itachi and the masked man too overpowered or was this plot just weak what'd you guys think?? Please leave your comments in the comment section.
